On behalf of a leading ************ contractor we are currently seeking a technically focused Design Manager (Architect) with a background in Residential and Commercial development to be based in in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a minimum of 12
years experience in Architectural Engineering,

Responsibilities *******, but not limited to, review and monitoring of work performed by other Consultants and Contractors for the following.

 Reporting to the Engineering Director you will bridge the gap between the design and the delivery of a project. Working very closely and manage the design team from pre-************ all the way to practical completion. Pr***de leadership and direction to the Technical Design department.
 You will manage the in-house Architectural Section of the Technical Team in the production of drawings for the design of site developments, to an internal brief from the management Team, to be negotiated with and submitted to the appropriate Assessment of potential developments and site visits. Co-ordinate production information to a written program to ensure company targets are met for a controlled and cost effective finish to the sites. Ensure quality and standards in schemes are met
 Design documents.
 Bid preparation and tender returns.
 Constructability Analysis of the design
 Value Engineering
 ************ Progress including Offsite Manufacturing Process
 Defects/ Punch Lists prior to ************ Completion
 Inspection, Testing, Commissioning, Completion, and Handover of the *****
 As Built Drawings and Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
 Develops solutions to technical problems.
 Development of design presentation drawings and documents.
 Development of design phase deliverables.
 Assist the team in responding to ************ phase RFI and design clarification.
 Assist in the planning and coordination of the detailed phases of a design project.
 Coordinate architectural design documents with other disciplines to ensure incorporation of all design requirements.
 Coordinate with consultants, Sub-contractors, and regulatory agencies.
 Through research, study, and consultation with outside consultants and professional societies, keep informed of new developments and systems related to the field of architectural practice and design.
 Team player and able to work with a team of Engineers and contractors

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

 Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering.
 A minimum of ten (12) years experiences in ************ industry, preferably with both contractor and consultant background.
 A minimum three (3) years working experience in large scale ************ *****.

KNOWLEDGE

 Candidates should have good technical knowledge. Free-hand Sketching, strong conceptual designing skills, technical proficiency.

 Good client management skills, attention to detail, self starter, good communication skills. Project organization management skills.

 3-D Studio Max, AutoCAD (3D *******s / Modeling). Interior Design, Photoshop (Adobe). PowerPoint (Microsoft) Presentation Design, Rhino 3D

 Relevant experience in design, contract administration and/or project management (strong in design) for large commercial, hotel, Residential, mixed used developments, Rail, Airports.

 Registered Architect in MENA

 Must have experience in GCC and preferred in Saudi Arabia

 Proficiency in utilizing PC software packages typically associated with architect/engineering, including CAD is required. Preferred candidates who worked with Hands-on skills in V-Ray, Revit/BIM and Rhino Grasshopper.

 Experience reviewing contractor submittals and inspecting ************ progress.

 Proficiency in the application of current architectural/engineering theories and concepts.
