One of the Leading Industrial Com. in Jeddah needs: External (Offshoring) Purchasing Specialist

JOB PURPOSE

To receive, examine and process requisitions; prepares bid specifications and other necessary documents related to the purchase of supplies, materials and equipment; prepares State requisition or locates source of supply, and places with appropriate bidder.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Interview and correspond with vendor to be updated of new products and market conditions and trends.
2. Maintain documentation that keeps track of purchases and use that information to communicate with accounting so they have all invoices.
3. Place and answering any and all questions in regards to the status of minimize risk by ensuring alternative sources of supply for critical items to ensure smooth operations.
4. Research all suppliers to ensure the best equipment is procured for the lowest price.
5. Assist with keeping track of budget expenditures to ensure adherence to purchasing budget.
6. Evaluate letter of credit documents and collaborate with accounting department to ensure timely financial obligations.
7. Verify warehouse inventory by inputting and adding supplies received to current inventory levels to keep minimum stock levels.
8. Provide information regarding ordering; answering questions and requests; making copies; updating and generating reports to keep management aware and update about the purchasing effectiveness.
9. Forecasting, re-order point analysis, Min/Max inventory levels, manage stocking agreements and price negotiation to keep smooth operations.
10. Coordinate with international logistic personnel to ensure proper shipment delivery.
Occasionally act as liaison between vendors and internal requestors.
