Research Coordinator II


Responsible for implementing a diverse portfolio of research management activities for one or more studies which may ******* multicenter clinical trials (PNU Intramural or industry-
Sponsored), local investigator-initiated clinical trials, and/or programmatic clinical research activities, such as a clinical database and biorepository.

Performs expert and efficient integration of multiple complex programmatic activities, applying a sophisticated medical knowledge base, substantial leadership skims, effectively working with a variety of people and organizations at PNU/ KAAUH/ HSRC.
Responsible for ensuring research project has approval and compliance, contract generation, negotiation and approval, subject recruitment and scheduling, appropriate study testing, and
adequate enrolment of multicentre clinical trials, longitudinal cohort studies, local investigator-initiated studies, and biorepository efforts; exercise strong administration and management leadership of clinical research, strong research coordination, and may lead experienced personnel to ensure optimal systems for efficiency, compliance, safety, financial oversight, and contractual expertise in negotiations and execution, as well as create and implement quality improvement processes.

Ensure that clinical research commitments are met and that the HSRC research programs maintain a reputation for excellence in all activities.
Covers general administrative tasks such as coordinating scientific and grant approval processes at HSRC Research Management Office.
Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
Participates in, and supports, quality improving and patient safety activates as an individual or
as part of multidisciplinary teams.

Assistant Researcher

Assists with academic research.
Meets regularly with supervisor to discuss research assignments.
Prepares materials for submission to agencies and foundations that fund research.
Prepares materials for Institutional review Board (IRB) review.
Manages and replies to project-related correspondence.
Prepares literature reviews and drafts research proposals and CRFs.
Recruit and/or interview subjects.
Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary.
Performs research work in archives, through interviews, online, or whatever may be appropriate to assist the assistant’s supervisor.
Gathers and does preliminary analysis on the data.
Provide ready access to all data for the researcher and/or supervisor.
Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project.
Organizes, maintains, and updates project files and folders.
Supervises any undergraduate students working on assigned research projects.
Attends project meetings.
Assists in the acquisition of research materials.
Prepares other articles, reports, and presentations.
Performs routine clerical duties as instructed, if essential to the research activities of the supervisor or project to which the research assistant is assigned.
Prepare progress reports for the PI and funding agency.
Monitors the project budget.
Assists with the editing and preparation of manuscripts.
Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
Participates in, and supports, quality improving and patient safety activates as an individual or as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Perform other job related duties as required.
