Teller

Summary:

- Receives and pays out money, and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions by performing the following duties.
- Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.
- Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
- Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
- ****** daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash.
- Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
- Explains, promotes, or sells products or services such as travelers checks, savings bonds, money ******, and cashier's checks.
- Opens new accounts.
- Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.
- Accepts utility bill and loan payments.

Customer Service Representative

BASIC **********

Customer Service Representatives respond to customer inquiries via telephone and face-to-face meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assist customers with routine account-related requests such as:
- Funds transfers
- Automatic funds transfers (AFTs)
- Stop payments
- Inquiries about bank deposit products and service charges
- Inquiries about ATM and Debit Card usage and limits
- Inquiries about checking and savings accounts transactions
- Inquiries about funds availability
- Check verification requests by third parties
- Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments when necessary.
- Cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs, in accordance with the bank’s program standards.
- Relate customer requests for service charge rebates to the Asst VP and VP of Operations.
- Process necessary paperwork to rebate customer service charges.
- Verify information on ATM/Debit Card applications to to the information in customer database. Send exceptions to Personal Banking Counselors for corrections.
- Update the system with messages regarding ATM/Debit Cards and service charge rebates.
- Sell state license plate renewal stickers, including conducting necessary online verification.
- Balance customer checkbooks.
- Perform customer requested research, including printing statement and check copies.
- Input, maintain and/ or delete ATM and Debit Cards within system.
- Transfer funds to cover customer overdrafts as directed by Bank Operations.
